How long is the wood seasoned for?
The wood is bored and seasoned for at least 6months, usually a year. The wood is also put through a destressing procedure which helps to eliminate warping and shrinkage. A stringent check is made for splits that gives the prospective buyer confidence that they are getting top quality wood.
Are the mounts, ferrules, caps etc threaded on ?
Yes, they are threaded and glued. This is done standard on all Tim's pipes. Silver is usually driven and glued on.
Do Tim's pipes come with a guarantee ?
Yes, the wood will be replaced and/or repaired if there is a fault in the wood. Brakages can be expertly repaired at customers cost.
