Tim Gellaitry | Pipemaker

About Tim Gellaitry

Tim Gellaitry has recently established his own Bagpipe making workshop in Stirling, Scotland. He is part of a new breed of Scottish craftsmen working to produce traditional instruments that are beautiful in appearance and exceptional in musical tone.

Tim has been making Highland Bagpipes for over 25 years. He first served an apprenticeship of 5 years with Wm. Sinclair & Son of Leith, before spending another 8 years with them as a qualified craftsman. For the past 13 years Tim has been involved in the production of Reel, Border and Small Pipes for the equally well-known Hamish Moore of Dunkeld. He also recently spent a year with Hardie of Glasgow.
